About Me

Alan Sewell, the founder and principal of Golden Tonsils Productions, is a seasoned voice-over talent and actor with over thirty years of experience.

Starting with an undergraduate degree in Communications from Rowan University, followed by 3 years and an MFA in acting from Mason Gross School of the Arts at Rutgers University (training with Bill Esper,  Esper Studio) in 1985, the goal of a career in the performing arts was well underway.  Two years later, life took a different direction when, on opening night of an Off-Off-B'way play, I ruptured my Achilles tendon playing basketball (yes… opening night… what was I thinking!?)!

For many years after that, I ran a family business.  I became an entrepreneur and business owner, but voice-overs and acting remained a constant part of my life.  I continued to work “on the side,” as a performer.  With all my experience in business, sales and marketing over the years, my love of working in the creative field of performance never left me.  While I continued to develop my skills as a performer, I also gained a whole range of business, marketing, computer and sales skills.  Today, I like to think of them as the “seasoning” that provides a whole different flavor to my work as an artist.

I’m thrilled to be able to bring my diverse experience and knowledge - along with my creative energies and talents - to the wide range of clients who have a story to tell, and need a story teller to tell it well.  It is my joy and my mission to be the “voice” of my clients.
